Beck + Adele is a small design studio in Ottawa, working at the intersection of sound and form.
The studio makes one thing: sound objects in solid hardwood. Each piece is built to live in a room as an object first — not equipment, not a gadget, not something to hide.
The studio started where two things met. My wife had spent nearly two decades writing about interiors, and the speakers we could buy didn't fit the rooms she put together — they were cheap, generic, built to be replaced. At the same time, I'd been building audio into wood for years and kept circling the same question: why does almost everything that makes sound have to look like equipment? Beck + Adele is what those two questions turned into when they ran together.
What the studio cares about
Solid material over surface treatment.
Geometry over decoration.
Presence over function. S
ound quality over volume.
Fewer things, made well.
